Connecting Parents with Childcare Options in Kenya
Finding the right daycare for your child can be a challenging process. Parents may need to compare locations, understand the services different childcare providers offer, ask the right questions and ultimately decide which environment best meets their family's needs.
That is where Find A Daycare comes in. We are building a platform designed to help parents discover and connect with childcare providers while making useful daycare information easier to find.
First Things First: Find A Daycare Is NOT a Daycare
This is probably the most important misconception we need to clear up.
Find A Daycare does not operate a daycare, kindergarten or childcare centre. We are an independent childcare information and connection platform that helps bring parents looking for childcare and providers offering those services closer together.
Think of us as a daycare connect platform.
Instead of caring for children ourselves, our role is to make it easier for parents to discover childcare options, learn more about providers and make more informed enquiries before choosing where to take their children.
So, What Does Find A Daycare Do?
Our focus is simple: helping parents find childcare options and helping childcare providers become easier to discover.
Through Find A Daycare, we aim to:
Help parents discover daycare and childcare providers in different locations.
Give daycare providers a platform to showcase their services.
Share practical information that helps parents know what to ask when considering a daycare.
Create greater visibility for childcare providers.
Connect parents directly with providers for enquiries and further information.
Build useful information about childcare services across Kenya.
For example, a parent looking for a daycare in Nairobi may not know where to begin. Another may be looking specifically for a daycare and kindergarten, infant care, after-school care or other childcare arrangements.
Find A Daycare is being developed to make that discovery process easier.
Helping Parents Ask Better Questions
Finding a daycare should involve more than seeing a few photographs and asking about fees.
Parents may want to understand who will actually care for their child, how pickup is handled, what a typical day looks like, how the centre communicates with parents, what happens when a child becomes unwell and what services are included in the fees.
That is why education is an important part of Find A Daycare. Our parent-focused content encourages families to ask, observe and understand before making childcare decisions.
We believe access to better information can help parents approach the search for childcare with better questions and greater awareness.
Supporting Daycare Providers Too
Find A Daycare isn't only for parents.
We also want to give daycare owners and childcare providers opportunities to increase their visibility and connect with families searching for their services.
Over time, our broader goal is to build structured information about childcare providers across Kenya and strengthen the information available through Find A Daycare.
This means Find A Daycare can become more than somewhere to simply find a daycare. We envision it growing into a useful childcare information platform for parents and providers alike.
Where Is Find A Daycare Located?
Another question we occasionally receive is whether Find A Daycare has a physical office.
We currently do not operate from a dedicated physical office. Find A Daycare operates through a virtual office within Nairobi CBD, while most of our activities are carried out remotely and digitally.
Given the nature of our business, maintaining a dedicated physical office is not currently necessary. Our work revolves around digital information, communication, provider outreach, content and connecting parents with childcare providers rather than receiving children or operating a childcare facility.
As Find A Daycare grows, our operational needs may naturally evolve too.
Building a Better Way to Find Childcare
Whether you are searching for a daycare in Nairobi, exploring daycare and kindergarten options, or simply trying to understand what questions you should ask before enrolling your child, we want Find A Daycare to become a useful starting point.
For childcare providers, we want to create opportunities to be discovered by parents who are actively searching for childcare services.
And for the wider childcare community, we want to contribute useful information, conversations and resources that make navigating childcare easier.
Find A Daycare is not a daycare. We help you find one.
